This stunning quilt coat features an incredibly full skirt, tailored bodice, and shaped sleeves. Blue calico binding encircles wrists and hem. The vintage quilt has floral appliqué and an array of blocks made of sweet calico prints.
The tailored back is emblazoned with an antique, hand stitched quilt block and meets the skirt in a box pleat.
The coat bodice has a chest of 43” and will fit bodies 36”-42”. The coat is 52 1/2” long from shoulder to hem with a 108” circumference. Sleeves are 24” long.
This pattern was designed after Renaissance over gowns and features a reworked Victorian style sleeve with gathers at the elbow for comfort and free range of motion. The collar is a grown-in collar last to those on doublets. The bodice of this coat will have custom closures as per your preference of an overlapping wrap front with cloth ties or a button front with three large vintage shell buttons.
